Stop sitting and move more.

How many hours a day do you spend sitting?

Yes, it can be quite sobering when you actually add it up and see how little real exercise you’re getting.  Does it make you want to move more.

Most of us go through life spending a lot of our time sitting.  We sit down to eat. We sit down on our way to work. We sit down at work. And then we sit down at home with a book, in front of the TV or on our phones and tablets.  Only we don’t generally realise how much of each day we spend doing this.

The problem is our bodies are designed to move.  Exercise and movement are great for our bodies and minds.  But it’s all too easy for exercise and movement to take a back seat to busy work schedules, family commitments and everyday life, not to mention injury or pain.

Getting back into exercise can be daunting; especially if you’re in pain or have suffered an injury.  Knowing what to do and where to start can be a real challenge.  But if you pace yourself and ease back into activity and exercise it will really help.

As part of The Back Plan we’ll make sure you have a personal exercise plan to do just this based on your particular needs. Then we’ll monitor your progress and develop your plan regularly so you can use it to get back to doing the things you want to do.
